The Value & Standard Edition offers a competitive entry point for customers interested in 5250 performance and beginning to run e-business workloads and extend applications via the Web. The Advanced Edition provides a higher performance processor option and delivers the ability to simultaneously run 5250 Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) workloads as well as e-business workloads with WebSphere, Domino, Linux and other environments.

The iSeries 810 is an integrated, reliable server that that supports multiple operating environments and can run a variety of applications--simultaneously. The Model 810 offers small to medium-size companies legendary iSeries security and availability plus the power and capacity to run traditional core business applications while having the freedom and scalability to add new e-business technologies.

The Model 810 offers a choice of two Editions: standard or enterprise, with a choice of 1-Way and 2-Way silicon-on-insulator (SOI) processors ranging from 1020 CPW to 2700 CPW, up to 16 GB of memory, and up to 14 TB of disk. The Standard Edition enables you to run 5250 OLTP applications that have been modernized with the WebFacing Tool of IBM WebSphere Development Studio for iSeries. The Enterprise Edition offers a broad range of enterprise-class tools to help you optimize and manage e-business, client server and 5250 OLTP applications.

IBM iSeries Model 825 is an outstanding server which can run applications in multiple operating environments simultaneously. If additional capacity is required, upgrades within the Model 825 and then upgrades all the way to a mainframe class iSeries Model 890 are available.

A 3/6-Way processor with Capacity Upgrade on Demand supports all types of workload including 5250 On-line Transaction Processing (OLTP), client/server, WebSphere, JAVA, Web serving, business intelligence, Linux, ported UNIX as well as Domino workloads.

IBM iSeries Model 870 is an outstanding server which can run applications in multiple operating environments simultaneously. The 870 server has performance and functional characteristics capable of running the widest range of application workloads including e-business, WebSphere, Java, Linux, client-server, ported UNIX, and Domino, as well as on-line transaction processing (OLTP).

The Model 870 can be installed in general office environments, but most customers will choose to locate the unit and its I/O in a separate area with appropriate electrical and air conditioning supplies. The 870 consists of two physical enclosures. A large/tall enclosure and a smaller enclosure. The tall enclosure contains the processors, memory and HSL attachments and is called the system unit. The smaller enclosure contains PCI slots and disk drives and is called the base I/O tower.
